Today we had our second Nozomi leadership training.  We have realized that we cannot place people into positions of leadership without training and empowering them to do that.  Most of our staff have had no training in this area and so its exciting to help equip them to be better leaders.

i started this meeting by asking one point that they remember from last week.  (Expression deepens impression – have people share something and they are much more likely to remember it a lot longer).

M., one of our staff, said her main take-away from last week was the line that I shared which reportedly came from S. Cathy Truett, the founder of Chick-Fil-A.  When asked who needs encouragement, he replied, “Anything that’s breathing.”
