So we are having a lot of fun with our baby chicks! They were one week old when we got these Nagoya Cochins (apparently they are a famous breed from the Nagoya region – well known for the tasty meat and for their nice brown eggs. We are interested in the eggs…) We now have names and can tell all eight apart, although as they grow some of their previous indicators are changing. With a combination of names contributed from our whole family, let us introduce to you: Mochi, Rosie, Ethel, Nancy, Lacy, Lilac, Nugget (yes, really!), and Sasha. We are keeping them inside under a red light for six weeks, so you just gotta have some fun. Without further ado, here are some of our favorite photos of our girls!
