We have been
mostly very happy with medical care we've received
here in Japan... The
doctor looked at it and said, "Ahhh... obviously
medicine isn't going to help this." I
kind of knew that already. End of visit. You HAVE to laugh! |

cry recently in Japan... |
We were driving recently in August on a Monday morning to Starbucks for our morning coffee date. Sue was reading the English newspaper that we receive, and read the following headline to Eric: " Mom, 2 daughters killed by train in 'suicide pact." A 42 year old woman and her two daughters, aged 12 and 13 huddled together at midnight last weekend on a train track. The driver could not stop fast enough, and all 3 were killed. It happened in Sendai. It could have been our neighbors. It could have been girls who we teach in the elementary school. We both just started crying in the car. We are SO thankful that God has continued to call us here. But we want to reach MORE people. People like this need to know the hope of Jesus.... |
