We travelled on January
14th about 5 hours south by bullet train to Shizuoka, where the
adoption agency was completing Owen's paperwork. This is the
very first view we had of our son. We can't adequately describe
our joy in words. |
I
Owen's middle name, Masaru, was given to him in the hospital. It means "victory." The first night in Shizuoka we stayed upstairs in the church. This was the banner hanging in the church that greeted us....True, isn't it? |
Holding Owen for the first time.... |

Ai
no Kesshin is the name of the adoption agency we used here in Japan.
The English name is "Loving Decisions." It's
run by Sarah Gordon with the help of her Japanese assistant Ako
and Sarah's wonderful family. The love and prayer that goes
into each decision and each adoption continues to touch us. That's
Sarah with two of the sweet babies in the next picture, left.

This is our pastor and his wife, Fujimoto Sensei and Lisa Sensei. They were our first stop arriving back in Sendai. |
Tired Daddy, baby, and Molly collapse on the couch. Home at last!
